    tm-500 info required

sorry to trouble you, but has anyone got a tm-500, i have searched but don't seem to be able to find much info, ie images etc, for this reciever.

trying to decied if i should go for a tm-500 as i know the brand technomate or should i go for a clone dm500, like the blackbox from linuxsat.co.uk?

    thanks if advance

I have a TM 600 which is a PVR version. Has 2 scarts and rf output. Images readily available and stable. The DM500/clones have 1 scart and no rf output. Images are good. I personally had a DM 500 and would never go back to it after getting this TM600.

thanks for the replies, this is still my problem , dm500 support, it seems to be easy to find, but tm-500 build quality, must admit that i am finding i very hard to find any sites with tecnomate files / help.

        any pointers?

        cheers

I use DM500 clone with the pli image had it for 2 years works well. Google alsat you will find support there for Tm500.
Tm500 and TM600 are new recievers Technomate would have been better to create a HD linux receiver.

Big support for these receivers from the UR image team. Super picture quality and build. Miles better than DM500.

i have tm500 and tm600, and for sound clarity and picture sharpness, they walk all over original DM500s, never mind the clones

all enigma1 plugins work on them, and as they are still new, only one team writes images for them at the moment, when dreamboxes first came out, there was zero support for them as well, things take time

alsat has very limited support for them, and refuses to host most of the tutorials and guides for them due to who writes them

the UR team are active on digitalworldz for direct contact with the image team, and sat4fun also hosts everything that is avaiable for linux technomate boxes as well

ive replaced my DM500 with a TM600 and it also means i dont have to dive for the TV remote when changing from one source to the other due to the low sound output of the DM500

I'd say to go for it
I break my stuff, so you wont have to
