Updating channel list on TM6800HD (not the super one)

    Hi Everyone
Despite the many posts on this subject I have not been able to find an answer.
Recently my box was repaired (faulty power supply). I had not used it for some time but I now notice all the HD channels are missing.
Downoading stb file and installed from a USB key via the TM software. The channels are still missing. Would you mind answering some rather basic questions:
    1. Does the stb file contain both the channel info and the satellite settings? Am wondering if the satellite is correct:

    28.2E Astra 2/Eurobird
    Transponder: [1] 10.714(H) 22.000
    LNB Power : ON
    LNB Type: Universal
    LNB Freq: 9.750/10.600
    22kHz: Auto
    DisqC 1.0 Off
    DisqC 1.1 Off

    2. If I need to install another Channel List, where can I find it?

    3. Some channels are shown as Scrambled. What does this mean?

    Appreciate your help.

Hi Brian, The .stb file does not contain the channel info and satellite settings, the Channel List does. The settings you mention look ok.If you get SD channels then the satellite setup should be good.Try downloading this channel list, from Happy_Highlander,as far as i can see it should work with a 6800 non-super: http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...ml#post2009079 When a channel is scrambled it means that it's encrypted and you need a card to see it,Sly in this case.If you don't want to load the channel list you could do a blind scan and that will bring up all the sd and hd channels.Maybe best to delete all the transponders for Astra 2 first.Cheers.Mark

Thanks mark and dick. Have tried to use the Happy_Highlander one first.
After saving it to the USB, have selected menu/usb/data transfer and get the file list containing two files, a CNDF and a KEY file (after trying the two upload buttons. Now don't know how to proceed.

I don't use channel lists myself, but I think that you just have to highlight the file on the usb and then press OK on the remote to transfer to the receiver.

Yes,that's right.Just highlight and press OK.The same as for downloading patch firmware. The upload buttons are for backing up from the receiver to the usb stick.Make sure you select the correct file, the happy highlander one is ndf not cndf. You may be getting confused with an uploaded channel list.Having said that I think you may be better off with the channel list posted by Dick.Cheers

if you use my list dont forget to unzip before loading on to your usb stick and as said the upload buttons are for saving to usb otherwise just highlight and >ok load the channel list followed by the softcam

Thanks so much everyone. Used Dick's channel list in the end. Think my problem is due to the Files screen being confusing - tried pushing the buttons instead of using Enter.
All the HD channels have now appeared!
                Thanks again
