Hi What model do you have?? You can restore original factory settings by doing a factory restore. This will reset all settings back to day one ie as new. You wont lose your patches though. It will restore only TP's, audio levels etc. If you have a motor i would save current settings to USB before doing the restore or if using USALS just make a note of location figures in motor menu. You can if you wish download a channel list from someone . Or you could do a blind scan and it will retune all channels back for you Hope this helps you.

    Regards

Hi If i remember correctly insufficient memory message means that you have too many TP's(frequencies) in your box. Delete as many TP's as you can and then reload the list and see what happens. Or just do a factory restore as this will delete all TP's which have been added since you first got the box. Do you have a fixed dish or motor?? If its fixed then delete all TP's and then do a blind scan which will retune all channels back for you.

          Regards

Hi nutsandbolts, My system is motorised, I tried the factory restore but still have no channels, it says bad or no signal, it seems the dish is not pointing to the sat selected, I think I will have to start over as a new instalation, but thanks for the replys.

Hi If you have a motorized dish then you would have lost all your motor positions when you did a factory restore thats why you get no signal( unless your LNB or cables are playing up). If you need help in setting it up let me know . It should be easy to setup the motor. What motor do you have and were you using USALS or 1.2 to move the dish.

              Regards

I have a technomate motor, and am using USALS to move the dish, if I select say astra at 28.2 E, the dish seems to point almost dead south, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi If you were using USALS before and it was working then all you need to do is enter your location figures ie for London its 51.5N and 00.1 W. So long as you did not alter the dish then it should work. You could also try and go into setup and check if you pick up any signals from any satellites. As you did a factory restore you may find that a lot of TP's(frequencies) may be out of date so you will need to scroll through the TP's to check for signals. What size dish do you have, how many sats were you picking up and what is your location.

                  Regards.

I have a 1.1 metre dish, I did enter my lat & long, but it's still not picking up anything, I live in gloucestershire. Can I move the dish from the menu or would I have to swing it around the pole, I read somewhere to use thor sat as it's near direct south. Regards.

Hi If using USALS it dont matter which satellite you start from. Best thing to do is as follows:

                      1) Send motor using USALS to 28.2 east. Make sure motor is actually moving. If you already on 28.2 east then select a FTA(free to air) channel like Channel 4 or BBC1 etc.
                      2) If you feel safe with installations then loosen the bolts which connect dish to motor tail- do not adjust the dish itself.
                      3) Move dish left or right until you get a picture - then tighten the bolts again.
                      4) Check all channels working on 28.2 if necessary do a blind scan to see how many channels you get.
                      5) If all ok then send motor to different satellite and check if ok . Repeat process until all available satellites are tuned in.

Remember to make sure you have correct frequencies when searching for satellites. Hope this helps you.

                      Regards

Sorry to be a pain, I turned the dish until I have 92% quality on 28.2 E, but when I came out of the menu's I can only get half a dozen channels, do I have to set the limits east/west? and the long/lat. Thanks.

Thanks guys, entering long/ lat at sat 28.2E seems to have fixed it, also downloaded channel list from purplesat, now have fifty sats and thousands of channels, just have to set limits E&W, many thanks.

Hi Glad you got there in the end. This just goes to prove that when using USALS you dont need to line it up on 1 west etc. If you have a TM2600 motor i personally would not bother with setting limits. Also with USALS you cannot store sat positions as its an auto search and not manual. For manual search and save you need to use 1.2 protocol. To be on the safe side its advisable to back up your channel list to USB and then keep a copy on your computer in case of problems .

                              Regards
