newbie, and a bit of advice..

    hi all,
i have had my technomate 1500 for 3 years now, this season not subscribed to supersport, just rely on patched box for my footy.

i must have been lucky when i set my box up and mounted my dish, can get reliable(ish) picture on 1w normally.

i was about to pack it all in just lately as when i get a slight wind, or bit of rain the dreaded no signal or scrambled message.

any ideas where to start looking....many thanks for looking in

It sounds like your dish just needs a bit of adjustment. Is it on a motor?if so press the blue button while on 1W BBC world and you will be able to move dish east or west to see if it improves.any up/down movement needed will have to be done at the dish itself.
    what size dish is it?

remember to save the changes, your changes will only take effect if your using the diseqc positioner and not usals. USALS is a pre calculated method of tracking satellites and can not be edited.

It will still move the dish even if on usals but will return to its old position on exit.if the east/west position is found to be out on usals permanent correction can be made in the motorised menu by adjustment of the longitude.

Are you sorted now mate? if not can you get to your dish easily? then if you send your dish to 1West on usals and move the whole dish/motor assembly side to side and the dish only up and down to tune it in you should get it going ok again tighten every up well and then fine tune by adjusting your longitude setting in the motorised settings menu. as long as the dish is still central on the motor shaft all should be ok.
