    hi mate
seeing as your in ireland you would need an 80cm dish minimum
if you got a decent budget go motorised loads of sats to choose from .but yes thor at 1west is the best, patches and softcams you can get from the stickys on this site.set your sat mount up horizintaly got to be bang on level chuck a motor on it make sure your facing south and get yourself a satfinder.hope this helps m8

        hello mate,
if you read the "noobs guide to patching your technomate in the red sticky section it will tell you all you need to know.
your biggest problem is getting the right patch you need one specific to the 5000ci.the loader and softcam are easy to get(I"ve sent them if needed)but I"d ask in the forum if any one has a 5000ci patch.

well thats that then but i think it has given me an appetite so im considering buying a Technomate TM5200D USB, its a fairly cheap box, will this be ok for use on 1 degree west...?

                thanks.....OZ

have had a root around and im gettin a price difference of around 40 euro for a box delivered, my question is what extra benefit will buyin a dreambox have over buyin a technomate, in these times when money is tight is it worth the extra outlay, just to clear the channels will be quiet sufficient for me...?

                    thanks again....OZ
