help needed tm600

hello again mate,
got another idea for setting up.send dish to astra 28.2 East using your technomate on USALS. then disconnect it and connect up a sky box thats been pre tuned to say BBC 1,then use this to manually search for and adjust your dish by as described in earlier posts.once happy with the picture go back to the TM and scan 28.2E and you have your 1st sat.(I hope)

you will need to keep the sky box on while you switch over otherwise it reverts to the customer info channel if you connect via the rf outlet you wont have to mess around with scarts.

Now that sounds so easy.
I'll give this method a go and this will test the LNB to make shure it is working.

hi guys
i have tried everything sugested
still no joy , still getting very low signal.
even tried the sky box with my new dish and found nothing.
im now thinking its my lnb which is faulty.
any more sugestions will be a help

you could try a new lnb they are cheap enough and you could try running the cable straight to the STB from the lnb leave the motor set to 28.2 East and reconnect it once you have found BBC1(or any other channel you pick)make sure the lnb is mounted central in the holder and the f-plug is pointing down this will be good enough to start with and you can fine tune it later.as I said before a cheap slx type meter is a great help as they scream at you when your on a sat although they dont tell you which one.BUT whatever you do dont give up as we will stick with it till your up and running.

I am sorry if i posted this in the wrong place...
Talking about signal, my box shows no/weak signal for all channels. I suppose it is nothing to do with the codes, or plugging cables at the back of it. What is it then? No channel whatsoever seems to work. The Technomate red light is on, the green one never came back again.
Could anyone point me in the right direction please??!

I have just orderd a new lnb off fleabay and will let you know whats happning when this turns up .

Have you checked the cable for any damage, ie sharp kinks or cuts.

glad to see your still trying mate.now the better weather is here see if you can make a tempory setup outside where you can see a portable tv,if not turn the volume up on both the tv and stb then you can hear when you find something.
do you have a neighbor or friend that would let you connect your tm600 to their sky dish so that can get it working on 28.2 East then you can use it to set up your dish knowing what your looking for.

YES YES YES I have finally found some sort of signal after replacing my LNB .......
I sent dish to thor 2/3 intersat 10-02 (1w) and got signal strength to about 83% .
Next week im going to take the pole down and move it a little because it wont reach the limits without catching the wall. Thanks to all you helpful people that advised me through this stressful time .
