Technomate set up

Hi everyone, Was a member a couple of years ago then got divorced, Moved.etc..... Got my old Technomate 6800 HD and motor dish reinstalled and need to catch up??? Looks like i can't get much now??? Had a quick read around a few site to try and catch up and PHEWWWW stuff moves on quickly !!!
Anyway any help would be great? I'm looking at probably getting a spiderbox or darkbox??? Still not sure? Then need some tips etc???????

my friend had a darkbox and he used to tell me how hot they used to get, so i think a spiderbox ?
