Technomate Card Reader

Hi Everybody,

I have been advised to post this here as well as the general satellite section.
My neighbour has a Technomate 5400 Super and has a valid Viaccess subscription card for the Theme-X package on Hotbird. However, despite having a signal quality of around 90% he is suffering constant breakup of the picture. (The FTA channels are absolutely perfect.) Is the card reader in the Technomate not compatible with the Viaccess 3.0 encryption on the card or is there likely to be some other problem? If so, is there some software available to update the box via USB?

hi m8, its the broadcaster! the picture has been terrible for the last 6-8 weeks as they switched frequencies on hotbird. im afraid there is not alot your m8 can do apart from send them (theme-x) a email complaint not that it will get you anywhere!

Theme X TV are in the process of changing their frequencies again either by today or tomorrow!
