m8 of mine bought a tm 600 pvr ,now even tho im into dream and sat stuff i know abosoloutley bugger all about these?where can i find out what i need to get thsi box up and running

They are linux based boxes, I have used them once or twice when my mate brought 2 of them. I flashed it with the UR image, version 23 I think with the TM control centre. You can flash it through Ethernet/Null modem and I think also USB if you have the pvr?

Then really they work like the dream box 500. If you want to find more about them or tools/images I used to get my stuff from allsats.
