I have the princely sum of 250 quid. Can any of you guys recommend me a HD box and a good retailer.I need a recommendation because i keep reading scary stories about faulty software and clones.Also would i be able to use my static sky dish or is there an advantage in having a motorised effort.

you would be able to use your sky dish just connect your box to your router with an ethernet cable and connect your box to the sky dish also put another dish up and point it towards the hotbird satellite and you will pick up all the premiership matches via a diseqc switch -
motorised dish will alwys give you more options mate,for that kind of money you could get a clone dm800 or hold off for the tm800 which is due out shortly around the 200 quid markComment

i've just bought a tm6900hd super combo for ?250.
(i bought it with dish and motorlnb setup from the satelite superstore for ?365.) there tech suport is good.
The recivere is great. a few software probs nothing major.(the button on the remote to switch from trestrial to sat switches to trestrial but wont switch back. there is a way round it.)
it will work with the old sky dish. but you will get the free sat channels i.e. bbc's itv's c4's c5 etc.DM800 Pro clone Merlin 3If a post was helpful use the

INSTALLATION PROBLEM
I live in a bungalow at the minute we is with virgin media. we have 2 v+ boxes & a starview, if i buy three technomate do all three boxes have to be connected to the router. Don't know if i'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. Can you tell me if the cheaper boxes are sufficient enough for the bedrooms.I'm displaying the same apprehension as i did with star view got the shock of my life when i plugged that in (pardon the pun)

sat is totally different to cable mate you wont clear sky like you did with cable,you will need to google cardsharing if thats what your after as it cant be discussed hereComment
