Can anyone tell me what you "and how" could do with the etherport on the tm7100 triple there is nothing about it in the users manual

TM 7100HD not showing on home network

Yeah I have problems too with the TM 7100 ethernet port. I can ping the TM from any computer on the home network but neither telnet or ftp will work. It doesn't even appear on the home network "map" in windows 7. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

the 7100 is a closed receiver, so you wont be able to ftp, telnet or anything else into the receiver

its for firmware updating, net access, and if you have it patched, and the addon installed, press 8281 for access to a menu that uses the ethernet port for what satellite receivers really have them for

I can't get any net acces connected to router and all addons downloaded all it says is connection failed any ideas lads.

Got it connected to test
Its as easy as plugin and play (enter the info in the 8281 menu)
its a simpel
