How do u recieve free sky channels via enthernet?

Hi is it true that you can connect technomate to internet modem as well as sky dish to recieve free sky sports, movies and other channels, if so how does it work as I have been offered the setup? What channels would you recieve on Astra 28.2E?

Would be grateful for insight. Thanks

it depends on which technome you have the older models could do it with a program called sssp which used the rs 232 socket that you uses for patching your box but this was difficult and was a bit hit and miss. The linux technomate can do it with the ethernet cable but this is cardsharing and this subject is banned on here

I typed sssp into google, found a forum that had a full thread + software within 1min.

        Easy as that.

              Does not open anything

its away of connecting a non linux box to a pc, then you can use ccam and a line to open channels.

The sky is realy the limit with cccam have no experience with
sssp but with the right patches and plugins i'm sure its worth it try an other forum then here, i'v seen you on a few other ones
this is not realy the right forum the real "support for technomate" is running to spiderbox for commercial reasons i asume. But with technomate its mostly the users helping out one an other and you have to put in the time too. It's not dished out too you

It may be worth a try if you don't already own a linux stb. After a lot of reading i may have a play with this in the future , just to say i have.

For now its on a back burner, this is to use ccam and cs so this is not the forum to really talk about it.

However talking about the setting up should be ok as long as you don't break any rules regarding ccam and cs.

Sometimes its just about the learning how to and pushing your knowledge a bit further.
