what to do with my TM6900 super

About a year ago i bought tm6900 and it just been sitting there getting no use as i've been using my dream/linux box instead,whitch i haven't had to update for about 18 months now,so i feel like a newbie again looking for advise but i'd like to start playing about with this box but i've never been quite sure where to start.

I think understand about how to download a patch for it,but this run ccam,gbox,or is all that info in the softcams??

Is the patch like downloading an image??

I probly sound a bit stupid asking these questions but i'd really appricate your help

hello mate patches just replace the official software to enable you to load softcams to open some encrypted channels.the older patches still open digi tv on 1 west but they are changing to a more secure system soon.the newer "phantom"patches will allow canaldigitaal to open on 19East and hopefully that will last abit longer.they will also open a few channels on 5E & 13E.all this is only for the sat tuner of course.make sure any patch you load is specific for your exact model.(canaldigitaal is closed at the moment looking for a new softcam)

Looks like 15th June maybe the official cut off from Nagra 2 as Digi tv finalises it switch to Nagra 3.
