    Where do I start? TM 600

    Hi Guys,

    I apologize for the list of questions I am about to present to you. I am a complete newbie to this. I have just been asked to support a friend who has just bought a TM 600. I have been asked because I know about Linux and am a general geek

    Luckily I came across this site and I am sure you will be able to help me. The current connection to box is from cable from old sky satellite dish.

    I would just like to know where exactly should I go from here?

    I believe that these maybe the correct steps, but please correct me if I am wrong :

    1) copy new image onto box using TM centre? over Ethernet?
    2) install softcam, recommendations would be nice if you have any? (how to?)
    3) place keys key files for above softcam in appropriate directory (where?)

    would this get me up and running ?

    I apologize if I have missed a post somewhere detailing this already

      your headed in the right direction, when you put the latest UR image for the tm 600 on you cab press the blue button and you can then download the latest softcams and keys bundles bouqets etc,but you need to have the box connected to the net to do this also you will on get fta on 28.2 e,so you will need a valid sub or else google card sharing as its not allowed to be discussed here

          how do I get it online and put the new image on, I don't see any tuitorials anywhere for this. also could some1 explain to me what card sharing is?

              to get online you need to connect the box to an internet router via the lan port using an ethernet cable.I would recommend you load the 1st image with null modem cable using TCC.

                      Hi before you can get it online you need your receiver connected to your router with a ethernet/lan cable.
