hi guys i have a TM5400ci+usb set up to a sky minidish at the moment but come the weekend the 80cm out the shed is going up and the motor i've been reading a fair bit but cant seem to find the information i need
its straight out the box so what software do i need to put on it also what does the software let me do that i cant do now

whats the difference between technomate super and non super how can i tell

technomate super will say it on front of the box but these down loads dont work unless my box is set up wrong im on thor and 13 degrees hot bird does anyone out there no wich sat i should be on with 90cm dish thanks

you must use the exact patch for your model and either super or non super.
to get your box going again try this forced download use the official software from the TECHNOMATE UK website.
turn stb off at the mains.connect up a null modem cable between box and computer.download the loader I"ve sent and the s/ware(you can try the latest patch again if you want) un zip both,open loader and browse for and load patch.click on connect then turn the stb back on at the mains.wait for sending-erasing-writing-finish box should re-boot and work if not keep trying.

thanks for that i can see on the tv that the software was installing but when its complete it still wont reboot

if it wont have it using the usb stick you will have to try with r232 port using a null modem cable.

try this way mate,

forced download info.

if you have a bad download or your receiver locks up this is how to
clear the problem, you can only do this procedure with a [null modem cable]
if your model has a [usb port], this wont work useing a [memory stick]
first turn the receiver off with the switch on the rear panel of your receiver.
next connect your null modem cable from your computer 9 pin com port
to the rs232 port on the receiver, you can now use either the official opperating software from technomate.com or load the latest patch for your model, after loading the software on the v187 loader and you click connect
when the darkman v1.87 loader asks connect the receiver and turn it on
go to the receiver and turn it on again with the switch on the rear panel
turning the receiver on at the rear will force the download and clear the problem caused by any incomplete downloads or faulty patches etc:.
after the download has fully loaded the box should now boot and work normally and the channels open

some take the lnb cable from the receiver before doing this download
if you remove the lnb cable make sure the receiver is turned [off] before
you [remove or re-connect the lnb cable].

i am using the rs232 port

so i've connected the rs232 port browsed for the software it then tells me to turn on the reciever a download screen appears on the tv its now downloading then upgrading fingers crossed
its now turned off how long should i wait for
