    Sat box linking ?

Hi there Im new here andf I would like to ask a few questions, regarding the Technomate box I have, I have the 6900 box, is this still a good box or are there better boxs now then this one ?

Second question My partner has been watching Abs cbn package via Alantic Bird 5 with their subscription pakeage which been a viewing card, being used in my Technomate box, the scrambling is irdeto , which my box has been happy doing for the last 2 years.

Now the subscription has been changed, the only way she can watch her channels is through the offical box, as this acts as the decoder. And now the card does not work.

I was wondering if there is anyway I can patch her box through my Technomate box as I cant use my revolving dish now as I have had to take the sat feed to her box. on the back of the Technomate box it says sat in sat out , what does this mean ? could I use a sat splitter at all ? or scart her box to my box at all ? Any help would be great Thanx

you can run her box through yours but there are limitations.
you connect the feed from your motorised dish to the sat(lnb) in on the technomate then you loop out to the 2nd box from the sat out on the TM to the lnb in on the 2nd box.you just use a length of satellite cable with f-plugs on each end.
now the 2nd box will not work at all if the TM is off at the mains.
if the TM is on and in use the 2nd box can only use channels on the same sat and transponder as the TM.
If the TM is on standby the 2nd box can have full use of the motor.
if the 2nd box does not support usals or diseqc you would have to use the TM as a positioner and then put to standby so the 2nd box can use all TPs on that sat.
It depends on what you want to do as to whether you need a different box(not neccessarily better)
as a by its atlantic bird 3 on 5West I think your refering to.
