Hello you TM experts

Pls could you tell me if I will looose all channels and sat settings by updating the TM software from TM site. as there is a new update on the site for my receiver, Also can I download from my receiver via usb the channel list to edit in Clark tech studio or do I have to us a null serial cable. I donot appear to have a selection in the usb menu for it

No. Channels will stay but you can always upload your current channel list to be safe.

But you will lose your premium channels so no point.

hi m8,
as you have been told you only over write what software/patch you have
on the receiver. and you dont loose any chns or settings, unlike a factory
re-set,that clears all your settings. if you use the patch to open channels you will need to re-patch your receiver to open the chns again,
you dont say which model you have but if it has the usb port you can
do everything with a memory stick, for uploading your chn list put the stick
in the usb port on the receiver>turn on >press menu>go to usb>then data tranfer>press ok now you see the file list and at the bottom you see the
three buttons [red-green-yellow] you press red and the chn list will load
on your memory stick when compleate it will display on the panel>exit the
menu turn off>remove stick now you can transfer onto your computer
and keep a copy for future use
to get the full benifit from new official software updates the patch you
re-load must have the same number on it, patches are based on the
official software and if you load a earlier patch you revert back to that
software version

with software revision 6.59 sep 29 2008
Hardware version 1.00
boot version 1.00
ch version f010

I have patched it with the current forum patch and diablo 2.3 underworld 148

Do I still have to update software.

its not compulsory unless either stops working

thx for the info.I had the same problem.An i have another problem:i try do download the patch for the Technomate and when I unzip it it says the archive is corrupt.Please advice.
