Im thinking to change my tm1000 for the tm5402 is this machine any good

i have one and i like it, technomate's good hd picture and upscales the normal sd picture plus it has the easy to use tm interface and you can c/s with it if you so wish all in all its a nice box

Go for spider box 9000 few ??? dearer but does a whole lot more.
Much more support as well.

I am Interested to that box also
how this box compare to DM500HD or DM800HD se or Vu box
I see that spec say very sensitive tuner which Is big advantage, the price Is reasonable, It has linux
how this box handle cs, are the emus work like dreamboxes

it's non linux It does cs share client only with an addon
or cccam. You can record and watch an other channel on the same transponder not any channel.and built in divx player and
7-epg on 28.2 programe name.

They are made same factory I think.

Iam testing 1 of these atm and picture quality not as good as the tm800 hd but good,problem with hd channels freezing but no issues at all with the standard def channels.

HD channels freezin would propebly have to do with the server your connected too.

as far as i understand there is more possibilities with linux boxes
it's not a mater of being better or not,i'm happy with my tm non linux boxes very easy to use.
