Discovery II & Mini pcb advice

Hi,
Can you advise please if the Mini pcb can be used on Discovery II vehicles.
I know the Discovery II is programmed with the 6 digit code or from the bar code tag depending on programmer used & the Mini has a PCF7930 chip in the case.

Both the boards look the same so just asking for clarification please on interchangeability.

May I ask a question please.
The chip is PCF7930 & the pcb has the 6 digit code on the white label.
When programming the chip I know the 6 digit code can be converted to the long bar code number but can you advise please how this code then has a connection when doing the job.
Does the code just operate the central lock & the chip for engine start ?
