I had a car with broken EDC16U1 and I was unable to replace it with a EDC16U34, even after many tries cloning everything.

Finally I found a working EDC16U1 (this a difficult ecu to find, at least on my country)
After cloning eeprom and flash car worked without problem.

Sorry but in my knowledge EDC16U1 and EDC16U34 are NOT interchangeable.

I can confirm also that EDC16U1 and EDC16U34 are NOT interchangeable.
