Default Audi TT 8N Immo3 dash into Immo2 swap?

Hello I am wondering if a immo3 dash can be installed into immo2 audi tt 8n. Dash is installed however tach and speedo do not work. Anyone know hat needs to be changed in eeprom?

Yes, but with lot of problems.
First immo cant be matched, so immo off must be performed. Fuel tank reading probably will work in reverse - this is solved by eeprom modification. And finally tachometer not work (speedometer must work idk what is not in your case) this is solved by add two wires from ecu to dash. So if you dont wanna all this, found suitable cluster.

Is there a way to set this dash into service mode for adaption?? Dash is a MM dash. I cannot adapt the dash in mode 6. Is there any tool that can put in mode 4 aka service mode for adaption? I tried vis vcds with both pins into a immo 3 audi tt and it failed. I know both pins are accurate tested with multiple tools.

No, what is problem with vcds? if you have ability to write you can try to transfer immo.

VCDS will not adapt used MM dash. When adapting via channel 50 using both pins it says system not ok. There is no lockout timer or anything it all looks good. I heard MM dash needs t to be in service mode in order to adapt used dash or swap.

sys not ok is ecu problem. this error may appear on many vag models. it means the comp is not sending data. With another dash will be same. This is some type of ecu protection, so far I haven't seen any solutions to this problem. so clone only...

From what I've read this is MM dash issue most dashes need to be in new mode 04 in order to transfer. This applies to B6 rb4 dashes as well in rare circumstances. Is it possible to set dash to new mode via eeprom dump?

No, in Mode 6 adaption with channel 50 is no problem. Your problem is, that ECU is Immo2. You just need to learn key with login of new dash into dash and learn ecu with channel 0. Immo2-Keys normally are not locked. For learning key "ecu answered" must be 1 (measuring block 22). If ecu is immo off, than make it immo on again! Attention: After learning key to Immo3-Cluster Transponder will be locked for sure. Normaly Immo3 cluster was backwardscompatible to Immo2. Immo2 has nothing to do with CAN or not. There was Immo2 dashs with or without CAN. Just check partnumber 919 = without can, 920 is with CAN. If orignal cluster of car is 919 you have problem, because all Immo3 dashs have CAN. You can try to set channel 60, 61 and 62 to 0, if available.

    Good luck.

You can not compare A4 B6 with Audi TT. Clone or adapting RB4 dash with proper tools is no problem.

sure, but i dont have tool for clone (carprog). i speak about this error, it can appear on many vag-s immo 3, 4 (for example golf 5 before model/year06 where adaptation with vcds is possible)

Nope not a chance. I know for a fact ecm is Immo3 no such thing as immo2 in the USA. This is US spec audi tt 2005 or 2006 8N chassis with me7.1.1 ecm installed. Not my first rodeo well aware 920 dashes are can based where as 919 is all kline. Both dashes have the same exact part number. This is a issue specific to MM dash only. VDO dashes do not have this issue.

Already checked MVB 22,23 and 24. Everything is as it should be. No lockout timer or anything. Immo on and so on. Everything looks good only issue is mode 6 I need service mode so I can adapt as mentioned.

RB4 is crypted dash similar like the MM dash. Procedure for adaption is the same. Except its not because MM dash will not play ball in adapted mode 6 like I said.

RB4 needs to be in mode 4 to adapt sometimes. I have run into that in the past as well. It's rare but it does happen. I have done tons of RB4 and RB8 dashes without any problems.
