I don't try with V8 or V10,But with V5 and if this is Med9.1,yes,checksum is calculated by the program.Other med9.5 you need to calculate checksum.

I read and write seat leon TFSI Med9 without any problem with V5 too,i think for this car you can.

In many old car Vag group fuse remove is needed to access to ECU perhaps its the same way...

Use the galletto 1260 for all EDC15....

with MPPS you don't need to remove fuse for vag edc15

edc15 vag confirmed to work flawless on V3 V5 and V8 on clone with original or patched software.
if you get trouble perhaps your clone is bad

you can buy good V3 clone for 40usd and upgrade it yourself with patched V5
