If it's any help I have a wiikey installed and I do updates, must admit i always hold my breath when updating but always seems to be fine. If your unsure then run the iso through a brick blocker first

if you update to 4.2 you will lose multi region compatability,4.1 is the highest update on a disc,so the game might just be wanting to install a iso,if your worried keep wii connect 24 switched off,
what game are you wanting to play?

if your in any doubt, update to 4.2e and softmod the wii, thats what i did, softmod doesnt interfere with the wiikey as far as i can tell
