Default MK6 MAGNETI MARELLI CLUSTER - EEPROM PROGRAMING

    Hi,

I am trying to program EEPROM on an MK6 Magneti Marelli cluster.
EEPROM needs to be programmed to change a cluster which is presenting in KMH to MPH.

Issue is that I am not sure which chip would contain the required bytes. If anyone could assist would be much appreciated.

I am new to the forum but I hope to help others in the future as well.

    See attached images.

    Thanks

Does anyone have any information on this cluster? It seems much harder to work on than the VDO.

It seems like VagTacho could help me achieve my desired result, but I do not want to spend such a large sum of money for it not to work.

    Thanks

    Further research done,

the EEPROM is in the processor itself. This requires me to have XPROG 6.26, or a similar level programmer which I do not have. The required data is on chip MC9S12XHZ512.

If anyone has any UK based programmer who can do the job please point the way, I am happy to pay for the assistance. Thanks!

As far as I know the easiest way is with Vvdi2.
It can read eeprom, immo and flash data via obd.
So there is no need to remove the cluster from the car and dissemble it.
If you want to read flash via obd, that job takes a lot of time.
Keep in mind that some mm7 clusters are decrypted...
