Default Delphi Grundig CD30 MP3 issue

    Hi all,

My daughter recently bought an Opel Corsa D 1.3 CDTI Ecoflex from 2008.

This was a car that has been stopped for a while, so a big revision was made on it to make sure all is well.
Some problems were corrected, but the radio did not work. It does not turn on.
The mecanics that work on car the believe it was working, but are not sure. The battery was disconected on the car since he was stooped for while when in maintenance.

The radio is original (radio A) on the car and we have the security code for it. I've dumped the eeprom and checked with OSCR and the code checks out with the one on the Opel Pass Card.

Nevertheless, a used radio (radio B) was put on the car by the person that sold us the car, but he does not have the code so the Display Safe is on.

So, my questions for you more guys more used to this issues:

Any idea why radio A stopped turning on. Radio B works, so, it seems that its not a car fuse issue. Th fuse on the radio seems to be OK.

If I exchange the fronts panels form radio B to radio A, will it make any diference? Is it worth to try?

Since I have the code for radio A and the dump, if I load it on radio B's EEPROM, will it work? Will the Display consider that radio B is the original radio?

What other options do I have? Any suggestions?

    Thanks for your help.
    Best regards.

safest option would be to just read eeprom from radio B in order to get the code from radio B.

I am quite new to Radio Decoding, however I don't see a problem with flashing the eeprom contents from A to B. As I have done something similar with a Blaupunkt radio.

If original radio is no longer working then we can edit your new radio to make it work.
You will need to post dumps from original radio and the dump from the new radio

Yes there is a problem swapping the dumps because there are many versions of CD30 and he probably won't have exact matching radio's.
He may even have different makes of CD30.... etc...

    Hi,

I have both dumps, but I'm not beeing able to upload due to antivirus. Any idea why?

I do not know the code of the display unless its the same as the one on the radio. Is it?

There's also on the Opel pass:

Security Code - This is the radio code and it checks with the code of the dump.
Tadio Type/Code - I don't know what this is, but it has an Hexa number.

    Thanks for your help.

    Regards.

    HI,

I understand, but since I have both dumps, can I do a test and undo the situtation if it does not work?

Both radios, apart from the year produced seem to be identical even on the references.

    Thanks again.

    Regards.

You should upload your dumps to a file service and post links here

    Hi guys,

    Thanks for your help.
I've manged to solve the issue by reading the EEPROM from radio A and then change the serial number on the bin with serial from radio B.
Then write it all to radio B's EEPROM. It was just connect and it was working.

    Thanks.

    regards,

    Pedro.
