    Question VM Modem Not Working?

    Hey, im having this problem for a few days now with no access to the internet, the send and receive light aint lighting up at all.. phone VM and had me going through loads of things then finally said send me out a new modem which i thought was the case but same problem again, with the new one they tryed getting me to go into config for my ip but nothing was there?

    any help guys would be great, thanks.

    Do you think this is a problem at there end somewhere? Also tryed connecting it to a laptop still the same..

    Does the modem go online by itself?

    If so, then the problem is with your network.

    Do you have a router?

    What modem do you have BTW?

    had same problem last year and solution tho daft did work. unscrew cable from back of modem and blow into the connector on the cable reconnect cable. bro in law vm engineer and came from him

    This may sound daft but did they take the mac address of the new modem to register it to there system. As you can only have 1 modem connected on each VM line.

    I have had silly phone calls with customer services who go through the whole read off the screen thing.

    I think that may be whats wrong. Only guessing mind.

    Could be something at there end with the lights blinking.

    I had exactly same prob vm sent me out 3 modem's & on the third engineer came holding a modem he spent about an hour testing them all only to tell me what i already knew that 2 of the brand new modem's was faulty.
