    Default 2003 Micra flashing hazzards

I have a 2003 Nissan Micra(sx) K12 that has developed initially a random flashing hazard lights problem but has now gone on to them being on all the time unless i remove the fuse which then disables the central locking, ignition etc.

All other lights are working normally and i have checked the wiring that goes through the boot door to the body and that's fine.

I have disconnected the battery for 30 mins which did stop it for about 6 hours then it started again. Also unplugged the the BCM for 30 mins but no different.

When it was working in between the random events the hazard switch worked fine every time.

A mechanic says its the BCM module that's faulty so after looking into this can I just buy another BCM with the same model number, BCM-L2N 284B2AX600.

    It's a D2 V5.00

Then swap over the SO8 95160 Epsom?

Will it then be plug and play or will other information be required to be programmed into the replacement module?

    Thanks in advance.

HANG ON. Welcome to DK the world’s BEST website.

lets go for experiment of the day.

sorry need to drop into slightly unhelpful mode.

    THINK same as a clio.

locate t’ hasard switch, single wire color ?? That gives ground when pressed.

well that one, connect to a 1K Ohm resistor. (BROWN BLACK RED, GOLD). Must be a tv or microwave in the street you can pick up.

one side to the hazard button the other to battery live. Tap off radio. As long as wont short to chassis no need for a fuse. The

    UNHELPFUL MODE OFF.

do that first. See what happens. If not yes eeprom. But they are crap units.
