    Default upgrade to hd

hi all,i have had my dm500s for a few weeks now and have really enjoyed playing with this marvellous little box,i was always really wary of dreambox because it seemed really complicated, but have found with all the help and great tutorials on here its been good fun(thanks again to everyone).now i am set up with motorised dish and loads of channels but it seems a shame to not get the hd stuff thats available.so i fancy a dm800hd,should i get a genuine or is the clone ok?or can anyone reccomend a good hd box.will the dm800hd be as easy to set up or am i starting from scratch.the sat dreambox bug has really bit.any advice on hd upgrade would be great.cheers to one and all.

i got a original and a clone which both seem ok
if you get either try and use a uk supplier if any problems might be easier to send back if theres a problem
my clone was from china but took a gamble ,still workin so far but if i bought another
    i would buy from uk
    dm800-s=1.1 m triax motorised dish=titanium twin lnb

I've just bought a DM500 HD. Probably delivered nxt week.
Bought genuine one. I d'rather see my money contribute dream multimedia to continue produce their great boxes.
I'll try to give feedback as much as possible. [ and probably ask for help too ;-)]

i agree with you i would rather a genuine dreambox,i know it would piss me off if someone copied my box and knocked out cheaper versions.but firstly the dm500 isnt made anymore apart from clones and i know i wouldnt have been confident enough to experiment with a box that had cost me 300 quid plus but i didnt mind playing with a 50 quid box,if i didnt work or i bricked it, not a big loss.genuine dm800hd is still a little out of my price range but dm500hd i could stretch to.so will look forward to hearing how you get on when you get yours, cheers.
