Default Why can't they allow multi-region access for Wii?

    Hi:
I have been using this Wii gifted by my bro. I am in india and he is in london and I used this Wii happily for last few months (only two Game CDs that came with the box). But, lately I came know that I can not simply walk into any local store and buy Wii Games as they don't allow you to play games from other regions....Isn't that aweful. Well, I could have walked into a local store and got the wii unlocked/jail-breaked etc. but, I like fiddling with the gadgets and so googled to see if there are any other people suffering from the same problem ... and I found quite a few blogs/tips/tricks to softmod wii, but, I could not get my wii to play game from US (have 4.2E system). Then I found a blog from dell_xps that I would like to try out. I am posting this to get download access for the jars and wads!!)

    Thanks,
    Nilesh.

    Atleast your honest mate

If you need any help soft-modding the Wii just ask, there are plenty of us on this site that are very familiar with the technique.

    Talking I did it...

    Yeah .. I did it.

Thanks a looooooot to dell_xps,Ade for all the hardwork in putting together a fantastic tutorial. I was able to complete the steps without any errors and I am able to play a Wii Game from US region on my 4.2E system.
Not to brag about it, but, I even made a cup of tea for myself at 1AM as one of the steps says "This will take 5 or so minutes to complete, so go and make a cup of tea...."

In return I would like to share what I found useful (and simple to use).
I used the uLoader program and found that it can painlessly copy/back a game disc to a USB storage. I was able to successfully copy 3 games (two that I own and one from US region that I borrowed!!) to a USB stick!!

    Thanks again,
    Nilesh.
