Kona hasn't updated from the DST80 platform yet as far as I've seen. No tool will read the PIN from the car so you'll need to buy it in or read it from a working key. Blade is Silca KIA9/10, Lishi is K5 or KIA2018 from memory, but that said if you're buying the PIN in for AKL anyway you may as well get the key number too.

Almost any modern tool will program your key and remote as this is the same Hyundai bladed system from 2012 to today.

Car will take a standard blank DST80 transponder(can generate with xt27a), KeyDIY remotes work but you may prefer a genuine which are available on MK3 or ABKeys( https://www.mk3.com/hyundai-kona-gen...ns-95430-j9700 ), just may need a transponder added to them as they sometimes buy the US spec ones in which have no transponder.

There's also 95430-J9500 for these, which can't be recreated by KD/XH (at least I couldn't). Need to get the OEM for the car to accept it.

    There are two important questions:

    1. 2023 can be Kona I and Kona II model. Which is yours?
    2. Its regular key or keyless go?

I don't know about the thread starter, but I'm talking about 2018 or 2019 model. Regular key with separate transponder.

I think we're only just seeing Kona 2 at dealers now here in Aus, I haven't laid hands on one yet to determine what it is or how it works. My advise was based on Kona 1 as that's all I've seen locally.
