Temperature overheating & STOP light illuminating on dashboard at the same time - even tho' the car is not overheating, is not using water. This happens even when the water is cold. Any help please ?

You need a diagnose with a CAN interface, CAN Clip original Renault or at least CAN Derelek DDT2000.
Diagnose with kkl interface won't tell you too much, mabye nothing interesting. I can't tell you much more for this failure, only with a soft an interface and a laptop you will clarify that.

Well, you can start by checking the coolant sensor resistance measurement, it can be blown (resistance too high). Normal resistance is average 280 ohm when engine is hot (90?c).
    Good luck.
Just start, and all come itself!!!!!!!

Vulcanlinda, you have two options : the hard way, measuring every sensor under the motor hood, or the easy way, sitting confortably on the driver seat with a laptop in front of you reading the failures and the indications of the sensors. It is up to you.
