Default Passat B5 1.8 AGR Software Coding Issue

    Passat B5 1.8 AGR
    Manual gearbox
    ECU: 8D0 906 018R
    Current Soft. Coding: 04001
DTC: 18020 - Engine Control Module Incorrectly Coded

    Hi Team,

I have problem with Passat B5 after replace ECU.
Previous ECU dead and car doesn't work. I have new, the same ECU without IMMO.
The car starts, but I have the error as above.
I can't comunication with orginal ECU so I can't read correct Soft. Coding.
VCSD does not suggest an coding method.

Can anyone help with correct coding and a login to change the coding?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,

EEPROM what I found is ST950403. It is correct?
Unfortunately I have no posibility to read.
I wonder if resoldering these memories will solve the problem.

Yes, desolder it and read it with a programmer

    Hi,

I think we misunderstood each other.
I do not have a programmer to read this EEPROM model.
I asked if resoldering this memory to the new ECU could solve the problem.
