Default Xperia 1 no display after changing the battery

I purchased a genuine Sony battery to replace the worn-out one in my Xperia 1 (original model).

Unfortunately, I now have no display after reassembling it. Sounds and vibrations have been heard, and it appears to be charging.

I read somewhere that if I wasn't careful, I might have blown a circuit and that I need replace the daughter board (the circuit with the USB port). I done this, but there is still no display.

Have I somehow ruined my phone?

I'd appreciate any assistance or suggestions.
