    Default NEW STARVIEW 5 BOX!!!!

HI GUYS, JUST BOUGHT A STARVIEW 5 BOX AND I THOUGHT IT WOULD OF COME WITH SECRET MENU SOFTWARE BUT IT HASNT. I HAD AN OLDER STARVIEW THAT HAD SOFTWARE PRE-INSTALLED. I'M A PROPER NOVICE SO I NEED LOTS OF HELP. I DID AN AUTOMATIC SCAN AND ALL CHANNELS ARE THEIR BUT WHEN I USE 1570 IT DOESNT WORK. JUST NEED TO KNOW WHAT SOFTWARE I NEED, WHAT ITS CALLED, WHERE TO GET IT ETC. I BELIEVE YOU DOWNLOAD IT, PUT IT ON A USB AND THEN PUT IT IN STARVIEW ETC. ANY INFO WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED!!!

    MANY THANKS!!!!

could be because you have to wait for 20 minutes or so for the server to up date after your first post before you can down load..

THANKS MACCA. I HAVE DOWNLOADED THAT NOW. GONE THROUGH INSTRUCTIONS AND IT IS SAYING TO FORMAT THAT SOFTWARE TO A FILE FAT32 ON A DATA STICK. WHAT DOES THAT MEAN? I HAVE JUST ADDED A NEW FOLDER ON DATA STICK CALLED FAT32 AND PUT FILE IN THERE. IS THAT IT?
ALSO, I HAVE OTHER INFORMATION ON DATA STICK, SHOULD I REMOVE EVERYTHING APART FROM THAT BIN902?
SORRY, I REALLY AM A NOVICE!!!

    MANY THANKS

i believe 2.03 is the best one for the sv5.. (correct me if im wrong, but this is the most stable latest version out for the sv5 platform)
theres a downloads section on this site, have a browse..

not being funny but you could at least TRY to search on the forums and google too (i would say for the most part google is far more knowledgable than alot of people here including me) for reviews etc before posting a question everyone else, who do no work of their own, post.. time n time again , the benefits of it is you learn other things on the way too, like what formatting in FAT32 is, in comparison to creating a folder, calling it FAT32 and crossing fingers/praying etc

tell me about it, lot of people are lazy, want fix and now, urgent no tv. can count the numbers of questions i hae asked on one hand, and thats in 8 years. always read first before asking, might do some peoples brains good.
