Hi everybody,
currently I have an BOSCH KTS650 on my "healing bench", for repair.
So the Owner dropped it during use from some heigt and shattered the Touchscreen didgitizer.
After that there was only white bar visible on the display and it wont boot anymore.
So I would share what I found and how I fixed it so far.
(It might be usefull for the one or another)
So luckily the screen was apear to have no visible damage, but he screen connector wasn't fully seated anymore. ==> pressed on the connector now the bars where gone.
Next issue if you hit the powerbutton, the power LED comes on but you hear a click from the speaker and it reebooted.
Now it is stuck in a loop.
Tips:
- Pressing and holding the "#" Key and then press and hold the "power" key for 3s shut the KTS off
- After Power on pressing and holding the "#" forces the mainboard to the bios & boot screen
By forcing the system with the "#" I could enter the BIOS.
And observe that it would recognize the HDD with it'S OS.
I checked the HDD on a PC with an USB adapter and it was reading just fine.
So the HDD was just fine.
After checking the mainboard for damages of the fall I noticed that one side of the RAM Module clamp doesn't look right.
Removed and proper reseated the RAM module and now it boots just fine.
So allways check your RAM modules.
