Chevrolet Suburban 2021 add key

Hello!

I have been asked to do a spare key to a 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. Is it an import from USA so it is a rare car where I live and I have no experience with it.

I have understand that is communicates with the new CAN-FD protocol.

Does anyone know if it is possible to add a key with Autel (or AVDI)?

If it is a MY2020 car Autel should be able to do the job. But if it is a 2021+ model Autel might not be able to read the PIN to preform key learning.
AVDI does not have a coverage list anywhere and as you said, the car is rather rare in Europe so I doubt you will be able to confirm beforehand without asking AVDI support directly but in my experience AVDI has been rather poor with dealing with US market cars, especially the newer ones.

With new Lonsdor K518 Pro you can do it straight by OBD because that tool got CAN FD protocol built-in.

I'm curious if the launch X431 Immo Elite will do it, I bought it but not much about it, there is and I haven't come across such a car,

Many thanks. Abrites support confirm that AVDI could not program this car att the moment, but they are currently working on a solution for CAN-FD cars.

I have seen a CAN-FD adapter for Autel but is is unclear if they can do 2021+ cars.

This is what I have found so far, but I can not confirm all by my self:

AVDI - could not do it
Autel - can program key but not read pin. Need to be calculated by other.
Obdstar X300 - clame to do it with adapter, both bypass pin and programing.
Lonsdor k518 pro - can read pin for some, but not for all.
Launch - find no good info.

Obdstar can fd is down off there server, same goes for Xtool…
Lonsdor claims with there new k518 pro but there has been so much added. They been dormant for 3 years now there putting out so much every day with out testing. I’ve contacted them and have offer my service. They decided to partner up with uhs hardware, so tool will sit on the shelves… (without video or proper testing)
