According to other forums it is not a nag3 hack but an SV6 using a dedicated server (cs) prepaid (included in the cost of the box) for 1 year. Then the box is useless can be used as a doorstop. It could be a risky business if your BB and cable tv supplier are one & the same

they shouldn't go down at all it they done it right ie one card for every transponder. now that's not speaking for the small c/s servers that become over greedy and stick to many clients on there servers. but the best way to advoid that is to stay from the public servers .

I cant see the SV6 CS sever lastig very log anyway...definitely not 12 months...Dont waste your cash,
Does antone think VM are going to invest in N3 then let someone come along with a national CS service. Theres already reports of glitching and poor performance from Irish users of th SV6.
You can get a clone Dm800 for less than the price of a SV6...Why buy a Starpoo everyone knows there poorly specced rubbsh boxes..without any form of decent support.
Buy a proper Linux box if you really want to invest n a new reciver. The only people who have anything good to say about starpoo are the traders who are selling them to make a quick profit..

let me say one thing first i don't like starview in fact don't like any fta box .

b ut if sv won't last 12 months what's makes you think that any other c/s will last the same ..??????

it's like everything it's a gamble . the only thing about buying fta boxes like sv and kv is if the server gets busted then every ~~~~er off line at same time . where if you have a dm are tm then you can switch servers . but don't mean you will get the full 12 months out off any server. what i would do if i was looking to get on someone c/s would be to look for a private one the private the better . try pay only 3 months at a time so if it goes well that's life move on .

plus one thing i hope people take on board as i know most forums do. s*y are not as easy goping about hacking there stuff and they will come after c/s servers and forums that sell it. i can nearly 100% see that happening.
you think there stupid why you think they offering all these deals at the minute because they know that virgin are installing n3 so they trying to steal as many customers as they can.

I agree, dont use public CS servers, too risky. There is no gaurantee with any CS lasting.

The thing is with Straview...theyre mis-seliing the product by telling people it will last 12 months...on top of that theyre selling the box at stupid prices...Typical trader profiteering. We all know how crap or non-existant previous strview support has been...

They claim to be the only working box in Ireland.....just because theyre the only publicly known CS box..dont mean there arent others.

Just a heads up for anyone onut there thinking of buying one..dont get ripped off, save your cash...

imo when n3 has been fully implemented sly will squeeze every last customer they can and the instant new subs drops they will come after the cs guys, but probably not until then....im sure we will have a bumpy ride for a while when they do
