mine are 85% on some, 97% on bbc world, but if there working dont worry,

however if you are bothered and you can get to your dish, get on bbc world, 1west get the strongest signal by ajusting the dish left/right, then when you have done that ajust the elavation (ON THE DISH NOT THE MOTOR) to peak the signal that way.

with dm800HD if signal is below 70% you will have trouble with sky sports 1HD, channel4HD, Scinific hd, discovery.

You really need 70%+ for the above channels to work proper

There are 3 Types that work and there all dependant on situation

    1) 10Db Ususally solves the problem, doesnt show signal drop
    2) 20Db Solves problem, but can sometimes cause a signal drop which can disturb other channels
    3) 12-18db Variable Amp, Solves problems as it changed the amplification per channel.

hope it works for you m8 as my 800 is doing my head in last few days only have it a week and having notting but probs with it , strongest signal iam getting on a 1.2m dish is 81% and still getting freezing or pixilating on hd channels tryed inline amp 12-18db Variable Amp and the signal drops down to 68% a bit better on some hd channels but no change on the others have been reading about heat probs with the box and my one dose get hot so i add a 12cm fan to the top of the case to keep it cool you think that would work not a chance. playing with some (imgs) tonight to see if one is better than the other so time will tell. anyone know what tuner this is (alps asbe2-402a ) is it the new tuner or the old one ???

    thanks for your time guys

SNR dont seem to matter i have the in line amp and i have perfect on all channels using mini dish, i have SNR 42% on Rush HD and its perfect, SNR is a funny thing As long as your channel dont glitch due to signal your fine, some people get confused between ECM rate glitch and signal glitch, what ecm times you get at glitch point?
