If you have the videos back then try converting them or use another player?

    Try vlc player.

i'm no expert but are you sure the video's are jpegs?
float your curser over them and check how big the files are? If its a photo, file size will small say 200 to 400kb
If it a video, file size will be much larger, say 20-200 mb for short video clip.
if the image says jpeg its probably a photo.

also when you say video's not playing, do you mean.
you can hear audio, but no video,
or image opens just like your photo's and you get a still image, but no sound?

the image is the same as the ones that stella photo recovery found. there are about six of them. on that program i can play the video. in this new program the same video wont play , is just as if its the first frame , one photo. and next to it say s j peg.
as i single dad, i cant afford the ?40 to register the stella programe, and thus put all the images and vidoes back on my computer.
as at the moment it only allows me to view them on that stella programe.
when i used the other programe...think it was called..something like ..getyouback..it got all the same photos and vidoes back but the videos are just stills, and in windows media player, winamp, just come up as coloured lines on the screen.

any help please and a big thank you for so far

I would suggest downloading another recovery program. Tihs looks as if it has recovered all files but only does them to JPEG file type.

There are a few out the and you will get one on trial that will allow you to use it for a certain amount of days.

    Try this one

if your getting the lines that means the video is there, but your media player cant read it.
like cgscot says simply download vlc media player, its free you can get it here.
once you have installed it, either set vlc to your default player or,
right click video you ant to view
    scroll to "open with"
    click vlc player.
video should open in small window, which you can put to fullscreen....
you might get a message saying "codec is broken, do you wish vlc to repair"
if you do, i would copy file to another folder before doing this (just incase)

There's also Disk Digger, someone here has posted a link to it...somewhere. It's free & recovers every deleted file on a drive. It should cover an SD card as well.
