Hello,

I own an Audi A3 8V from 2017 equiped with a 1.5 TFSI engine (EA211 evo) and a manual gearbox.

I noticed something with this car, I don't know if I'm the only one with this or not.

When I'm at at stop and I need to go forward :

  • I disengage the clutch
  • Pass the 1st gear
  • Start to engage the clutch

At this point, even without pressing the gas pedal and even if I haven't reached the clutch bite point yet, rpm goes up to 1200-1300 during ~1seconds, and goes down to idle speed (~800rpm) after this delay.
It looks like the ECU is trying to help me by giving some boost on take off.
However, this causes some "kangaroo" / "jerking" (not sure how it's called) on traffic jam.

The only solution at the moment is to keep the foot on the clutch till this "take off assist" ends, but that's not a good one on the long term.

Has anyone ever noticed that?
If so, is this something that can be tweaked via VAGCOM/VCDS or ECU tuning?

Thanks.
