    Hi,
    got a Zafira here,
customer said the car wouldnt start so he had it towed 2 the local garage,
the garage jump started the car and it worked
then the car went dead again.
Now the codes the car gave were

P0070 - Ambient Air Temperature Low Input
    (02) - Present
    P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
    (0D) - Present
    P1540 - Air Condition PWM-Signal invalid
    (0D) - Not present
    U2103 - CAN-Bus Node no Communication
    (07) - Not present
    P1612 - im*obiliser No Or Wrong Signal
    (00) - Not present
P1811 - Torque Signal Malfunction (CAN)
    (0A) - Not present
    P1222 - Injection Pump Malfunction
    (0A) - Not present
P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Voltage Supply Circuit Low Input
    (0E) - Not present
P0400 - Exhaust Gas Recirculation Circuit Open
    (04) - Not present

they had crank sensor changed but still no joy.
i went and scanned the car, cleared codes, tried 2 start and i got these

P0070 - Ambient Air Temperature Low Input
    (02) - Present
P1811 - Torque Signal Malfunction (CAN)
    (0A) - Present
    P1540 - Air Condition PWM-Signal invalid
    (0D) - Not present

then i cleared again and tried 2 start and got these,
now the thing is i cleared and tried 2 start 8 times after that but kept getting

P0070 - Ambient Air Temperature Low Input
    (02) - Present
    P0340 - Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance
    (0D) - Present

any help is greatly appreciated as the car is a means of livelyhood for customer

    Hi

Cam Sensors are common on them just to make sure you have the original sensor from the dealers.

    Hope This Helps

slightly confused why jacking it off makes it run if the errector seals have gone?

When you say seals take you mean 'copper washers' under injectors as thet go into the head?

i've had injector seal trouble on these in the past, also the cam sensors seem to be a weak part along with the wiring which tends to rub through. the last one though ended up as being filled with petrol instead of diesel

no m8 there rubber and under the camshaft , and suck in air when left over night , if the car points downhill they dont suck air in

this is from a vauxhall worker :

Re: HAS ANYBODY HAD THIS TROUBLE WITH THERE ZAFIRA/VECTRA 2.0 Di DIESEL
hi mate, i used to work at vauxhall for over 6 years, the symptoms you describe, are exactly those of the injector seals leaking air, thus meaning fuel drain back to the tank, when left with the front end facing uphill. However if you've had them done, i suggest you re-check over what they've done. Every car i looked at at vauxhall was cured with the replacement of the seals. (x20dtl, y20dth, y22dth etc etc) The seals are very small, and fragile, and are easily damaged during fitment if not done correctly. If the seals are weeping/leaking, then theroeticlly the fuel should leak the other way when running, shown by either an oil fouled fuel filter, or diesel fouled engine oil (seen a few of these, if not found quickly engines can take off on their own). Another way to check is to Take a sample of fuel and see if it'd oil fouled.
One last thing, when you replaced the leak off pipes, did you replace the small plastic t-pieces too? these were also known for getting hairline cracks/splits once tampered with.
    Hope this helps!

If reported error P 0340, i mean, that this sensor inside the diesel pumps and lacks only repair of pump.

    Hi

Have you checked the Valve Timing to see if the cam belt has not jumped.

Hi,what tool are you using to scan this car?
this engine dont have cam sensor, it has a pump speed/angle sensor internal in pump.
injector seals are common as stated above, but a far better way of testing them is with a midivac vacuum hand pump, just pull of the leakoff pipes from injectors and connect vac pump, create a vacuum and if it hold vacuum there ok if vac drops off there faulty.
do dtc,s come back with just an ignition cycle or do you have to crank for a while?
you will have to check the timing aswell incase chain has jumped, but this is unlightly as it uses two small chains which has less chance of jumping but can still strech a little.

right, had it jacked or an hour, parked it facing down hill, then jacked it.
    still no start,
because the car was very far from my house i told them to try starting it in an hour, it didnt

    @ ADTS
the dtcs come back when the car is cranked for a few seconds.

so wat u guys reckon, shud i recommend seals 2 be changed or repair pump (if repair pump, wat needs 2 be repaired) thanks as always
