Default W906 MB sprinter EIS stolen

    Hello guys,

This car did only have oem keys,(no aftermarket) so no password reading from these.

I needed the password, to restore the immodata in a replacement EIS. And to use the oem keys.
    And to unlock the ELV.

I completed the job, using a made up password, elv emulator and 2 new keys.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Is there a way, to collect the ori password, from the ELV dump?

From my experience in your situation you must either get a dealer EIS & workshop key OR get a second hand EIS with keys or make keys for it on the bench and while doing so reset odometer in EZS, then erase ECU & ELV, then write SSID from donor EZS to cluster. Then program ECU & ELV for donor EZS. Will require new keys of course.

Unless one of your OEM keys is a NEC/Motorola(can't remember the pin count) dual in line package you cannot recover the password with any known tool.

You can read the ecu data and generate eis data.
    Wipe the donor eis data
Read the ssid from the key
Load the generated eis data, set ssid to same as original key ssid and check vin, change password to whatever you want, then write data to donor eis.
Then generate key files and make new key.

i read the ssid from the existing keys.
I used mb cgdi, i prefer it to the Xhorse tab.

You can convert the data read from ecu, and also from the tcu, to created a eis file.
This function is present, in both ecu and tcu menu. Atleast in cgdi, and probable also in other mb tools.

Cgdi does have a elv programmer, that covers W204 and W906.
I wondered if that would recover the pass. So i guess, it can not.
Maybe one day, a tool can do this.
