Default Volvo V50 2008 sync problem - need help

    Hi everyone.

Have a Volvo V50 2008 1.6d that gives Immo messages after battery been disconnected.
Car cranks and start, but stops immediately and suspect sync problem!

    CEM MC9512x_ (1M84E) and ECU 16C34_ST95640

    ABS ID: 000000143380

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Regards
    JBE

Just using the search engine and a bit reading....

    https://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forum...=1#post3927965

All explained, in your case seems cem is in sync and the abs id does not match the one you say. The ecu eeprom one is 0000097852

    Hi again everyone.

I'm still working on the car, and need help/advice for further searching for solution.
Since last posting, I read the ABS ID in Volvo Vida and it's 0000097852 as <<morgano>> told earlier.

Situation is still that the car cranks and start, but stops immediately.

The message in dash board says "wegfharsperre erneut starten"
Have some pictures from Volvo Vida readings with the Immobilizer error messages, below

My searching on the error issue have all pointed to that the ECU software needs to be fixed or reloaded:

    From Volvo forum : http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/archiv.../t-240350.html
"If the battery has been flat for a while it can loose the data in ECU . so get the Engine ECU software reloaded at a dealer .."

I contacted local Volvo workshop dealer to reload/upload, but they don't recommend further repair or working on the car, due costs is to high compare to the cars value.

    VIN : YV1MW765282400045

In Volvo Vida Software download I found that the file I could be download true Volvo Vida to ECU :

    Volvo software list for 400045 V50 2008 :

    30668283 -ECM diesel reload or
    30668281 -ECM diesel upgrade

In Norway/EU, I get the message that it's only Volvo Workshops dealer - that can upload the ECU software from Volvo Vida's software tool.
I would downloaded the right file to my own car, if I had access.
So it sucks I can't continue to check out if software update would fix the Immo problem (ECU).

I have tried to follow others recommendations to sync CEM/ECU/ABS ID with program Volvo ECU 2.3 and Volvo Synchro 1.4., but these programs can't handle CEM Eeprom_1M84E and ECU Bosh EDC16C34_ST95640.
So which program/tool should I use to check my .bin files with my setup

I'm not sure if it's really a software problem or Hardware problem with the CEM/ECU.
Off course it could be something else, and it would be nice to be sure it's not the CEM or ECU before searching further.

I only have one key to the car, that worked before the disconnecting of the car battery.
It could be the transponder Megamos 48 that have corrupted data. I'm not sure how to fix/create new key, if the file needs to be downloaded thru Volvo Vida - since my local Volvo workshop dealer is so negative.

How could I created new key without a master key or access to Volvo Vida's software download if necessary

Any help will be much appreciated.

    Hi Morgano

Just a short question about your help/reply to my post

I tried use Volvo Sync 2.3 but doesn't seem to support CEM 1M84E and ECU 16C34_ST 95640 setup, got error message.

Which tool/Software did you use to check sync with CEM and ECU files?

    Best regards

Read the post i linked to you previously, i explain how to do it with any hex editor.

I personally use hexworkshop from breakpoint software.
