I have ordered OUCJ166N key from vin numbers, it is 7941 isnide, but car came and has 7961 transponder, anybody sucessfully programmed 7941 in?

Also will aftermarket 7961 work?

Just looked that part number up, it's bladed. The transponder and remote are programmed separately even though the one chip handles both. It should be fine but I will say I've had trouble with Outlander/Lancer aftermarkets, genuine works forever but aftermarket has issues and needs regular resyncs.

can't you generate 7961 out of XT27 then pre-coded it again into ID46 Mitsubishi?

this has the same system as 2018+ Nissan Livina, I just did one through eeprom few days ago.

If using a non remote key, use 7936 transponder coded to Mitsubishi 46. Works fine. A genuine 7936aa(as) or XT27 coded to Mitsubishi 46 crypto works.

Yes, can snip the inductor off the board, program remote and program separate transponder.
