Question 95 mondeo turbo diesel timing

Can anyone help, I am replacing the timing belt and the injection belt, according to hynes manual i can stick a couple of 6mm drill bits in the sprockets and then take the belts off and then put new belts on. ok, well i get to put the belts on tomorrow and i noticed that i need to put a timing pin in the engine block, where is the hole for this timing pin? although i have seen it mentioned, i havent come across where it is, an anyone help?

    thank you in advance

p.s. the belts i have taken off are totally worn, so does anyone know what direction the belts turn? clockwise or anti-clockwise?

    thank you

    Hi mate,
firstly you need to rotate the engine to near TDC then remove the 10mm bolt underneath the fuel pump on the cylinder block, screw the tool in there and rotate the engine clockwise until the crank web stops against the tool.

Now you can put yor 6mm drill bits into the fuel pump and the camshaft.

The belt rotate in a clockwise rotaion (usually indicated on the new belts too)
