Question A problem with EDC16 TOURAN CAN BUS COMUNICATION

    Hi my friends,
here is the problem, I got a TOURAN 2004, engine AVQ 1.9L 74 KW, I want to knew what electronic part in the EDC16 is responsable of the communication of with the CAN BUS, so i can change it, becaose all calculators show the absens of communication with the ECU,
I found the folowing DTCs in the DTC:

    Address 01: Engine Labels: FRM \ 03G-906-016-105.lbl

    Part and / or version: R4 EDC 0010SG 6176 1.9L
    Software Coding: 0050071
    Workshop Code: WSC 35110 377 00169
    8 DTCs found:

the other problem is that this is the therd time that we have this problem in the same car, and every time we had change the EDC.
so it will be verry halpful to knew the part to change in the ECU, and then to look for the cose of the problem, I think.
    Thx for helping.

Check all voltages(KL30 must be +12V min and 0 Ohm to + battery,KL15 must be 12V min and check ground, must be 0 Ohm to - battery and to chassis) and fuses as well as the CAN gateway.

    Hi

Check the Relay No1 and No4 in Engine Bay Fuse Box and all fuses as there are many fuses in there for you to have these faults.

Also check if there is no Damp or any water in that fuse box which can also cause this kind of problems.

    Hope his Helps.

    Ash
