    Default Recieved New Virgin Card

I've just recieved my new virgin card which tells me to insert right away. It tells me if I don't, after a couple of weeks I will start to lose channels. Can someone tell me,
1 - If I insert it right away, will this then lose me all my channels on my Starview USB box.
2 - If I don't insert it & wait until I lose the Starview channels, can I then just insert it & get my normal channels from my virgin box or will it not work.
Looks like the end is only a couple of weeks away for Central Scotland.

Putting the card in will not effect your sv, only n3 will so a couple of weeks or so.

Well when i say its gone off, i still have some pay channels about 140 but there are no names on the channels and all at the same slot, so like 3000 TV108 and 3000 TV1103 ect ect ect

Also just had word that a few people in Plymouth are having the same problem. But DBOX's are still scanning all channels (i dont have a DBOX so cant confirm)

Ive recieved the same mate. i dont know if these will be ready for N3 just yet as the rumours that are going around say that vermin are still having big problems in Leeds trying to pervect N3.But wee as a nation like a challenge so lets see if we and our other uk partners can come up with another money saving invention to aid the common man

I had this problem when scanning a digivox at the weekend! are you doing a direct scan ie: no splitters?

I only have SV3 super, i dont have a DBox, but there are quite a few in plymouth having same problem as me.

I have 1 cable into the house, split to TV and 50 modem all installed by VM. Was working ok up untill yesterday when i tried to put the news on.

Another odd thing ive jusdt noticed, is its only picking up 31 transponders when it usually scans 89.

Trying now, but not having much luck, if i do a manual scan on 746,750 mhz with network sniff enabled i can get about 200 channels BUT alot of those still are having the channel called TV then a number when you go on them they are the proper channels just the box doesnt seem to be able to give you the channel name, EPG still works though.

    Very Odd...

Are you using a SV box ?

The new card is red with the virgin logo. The old one was an old telewest one, so if your have a virgin card, it's the latest one (unless you've joined since virgin took over) still working in the falkirk area up until today at least, but in the attached letter I recieved with the card, it says it will change in the next 2 weeks.
