Here some tips to change startup logo language etc. for tacho universal diga consult.

You must combine file 111 and 112 to merge the bytes so it is readable then, change text and extract the files again.

Names are written in both files 111 and 112 for example.

Tacho

start adress 00028A00: T chip 111, a chip 112, c chip 111, h chip 112, 0 chip 111

If you got time left it is nice.

There's no need to spend 11000 euro's, my friend - but let me know when you have integrated soft for the 07 - up VAG in the old clone

I know the Chinese could do this in 2006, they also cloned the sync problem :-).
Maybe you can help Lupu Sandu, he like to have more info about this. I think he couldn't find anything on this forum about editing and a lot of people still have the old diga. It could have be the reason why I posted this :-).

Why do you think I am trying to impress? You should have known better if you know me :-). I earn a lot with my old diga, I still don't need a new tool untill today. For VAG 06/2006-up I have another solution for a real good price. But I think integrate this function in the old diga isn't that hard with the right software. The secret is resetting the cluster a couple of times during programming. But you already know that .

Have you notice if you bought now this clone from chinese?
the DoS command is already activated, may I quote to you Richard its sofware is not activated by chinese themselves
its my "own file" that they upload to a machine, and I think you know it it has a "Tagalog" language that I have added.
and they claim that file that is not goes to "Sync" or never "Locked"
but the truth is the machine still cannot be use after a hundred of used

I have a file for this machine that I think never locked
but I am not sure, my machine has use for about 500 cars and still running now

I didn't say he isn't right :-), I know it for a long time that you can connect with diga through DOS. I also know the dos version, it is simply written in the dumps :-). But he claims I want to impress everyone with old info . The location of the startup text I even got it from you HCIP (your picture 0028A00). I managed to merge the files so I could check it easier, nothing more.
I just want to show everyone that they can put there own name on it for fun. There is nothing serious about this.

I know your files, and noticed the strange language in it indeed.

There is a easy and a difficult way, easiest use tachosoft and calculate mileage, read dump in diga and edit manually on the different adress(ses).
If you don't have the calculation, it is a bit harder, you must calculate the mileage yourself.

If you do have the calculation of new cars, I have the ones I needed untill now, then you can program them into the diga. That is the hardest way. I look every day on the internet for dumps of new cars with known mileage and try to calculate the mileage. Premier en HCIP are the best with this, I am still learning .

People always think they could have done the job themselves when I pull up the diga for whatever job, because this tool is widely spread on the net and lots of people doesnt understand that there's more to it than just pushing buttons.

However, I am beating a dead horse here, I was just stating my opinion and I guess when I look back I wasn't really contributing much to the topic and that's why I apologized to you. If your feelings are still hurt you can laugh as much as you want As Hcip says you can also fix the sync problem yourself too if you have time for more "fun stuff". The funny thing is the chinese didnt fix anything they simply copied HCIP's files

So again, dont take things so personally and we might be able to help each other in future...

The easiest way to merge the two bin files you have pulled from your cpu-board is to use a hex editor. There are lots of them out there, and which one to use really depends on your personal preference. My two favorites are winhex and hex workshop.
