Default best broadband to play xbox live

i have just changed from Virgin to Sky. Sky broadband is not very good when playing xbox live it keeps disconnecting. i had no problems with Virgin, should i return to Virgin broadband or can anybody suggest another provider or a way to improve the Sky broadband

    Would appreciate any help.

The broadband should be fine all they recommend is a 2meg connection. Most likely the way you have set the router up.

You could make a static IP on your xbox and port forward on your router.

I suggest you switch your router off for 3 minutes then switch it back on and load up the xbox and see how it is after that.

only trouble is ADSL is throttled by companies on dedicated ports, only port 80 has full bandwidth talk talk speed on port 21 ftp is hopeless for example

    go back to dsl virmin

20meg would be best as again only port 80 gets full speed but the upload speed is good on all ports

50meg is perfect for gaming high upload speed no lag even when ported
