    Default Iprog vs Jprog

    Hello all....

I posted this in help in discussions.. I didn't know where to get the best answer for this question.

I have competition near me that is doing your vehicles for half the money I'm trying to get.

I'm convinced he has a cheap tool.

I'm wondering Is the iProg a clone of the JProg?

He's doing the new Jeep Grand Cherokees they have Fcan

If not that tool what tool is or could he be using that would allow him to do it that cheap?

And when I say cheap he's doing the 23 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the Jeep Wagoneer for $200 US....

    Which is unreasonably cheap

    Any info is appreciated.

    Thank you

Iprog pro original is not a cheap tool my friend, only programmer is approx $1000+ adapters $300 + the scripts which is not that cheap , our mate cardiag (member of dk) is the most famous scripts author for iprog , y can google the scripts prices so y will know that its not a cheap tool, actually its one of the best, regarding yr compatitor i think he is applying (sell cheap, sell more, profit more) strategy , definetly he is new in yr area and want to catch his market share

200usd is not cheap for Car buy & sell customers, especially when they see you are doing it via OBD.
they see that it's easy, but they don't see the investment.

those who do it are said to be easy to do so the charge is cheap.
they compare it to beggars who are hard to earn money for long hours, while OBD job only takes a few minutes so the charge is cheap.

in my area, this kind of work starts at a price of only 60 to 80 dollars so I don't want to add investment. I'll just switch to another job

I think the cheap prices for mileage correction business is going to end soon specially with the new car models starting from 2021 onwards ie mcu instead of eeprom, locked mcus, mileage stored in many modules in the car..etc all these changes require talented people with expensive tools , thus would lead corner people offering cheap prices to disappear gradually and then prices increase

Most of our job now are repairing ECU. some of the guys here for replacing capacitor on ECU also drop the price.

for some odometer rollback, I just call for the guys who was dropped the price.
I earned much money from them than they charged to me., I have no risk for the job. no investment.
